TikTok videos of the innocent hairdresser killed in a brazen murder of her gangland client, revealed fresh insight into her life in Sydney. On Saturday night, Amneh ‘Amy’ al-Hazouri, 39, was gunned down by a hit man alongside known gangster Lametta Fadlallah, 48, in a silver Toyota outside her southwest Sydney home in Panania. A 16-year-old girl and 20-year-old man unrelated to the victims were also in the car, however they were unharmed. The two women were being driven from Ms Fadlallah’s home to popular Lebanese restaurant Massaya, owned by her partner, after Ms al-Hazouri styled her friend’s hair. On Ms Hazouri’s TikTok channel, the slain hairdresser gave clients and friends glimpses into her life in Sydney.Alongside videos of voluminous blow outs and styled curls, were snippets of Ms Hazouri dancing at clubs and posing with friends.Tragically, in a video posted on January 1, she shared a wrap up of her New Year’s Eve celebrations. Writing about her ambitions for the year ahead, she wrote: “Love, health, happiness, success”.In another, she shared a trip to Palm Beach in Sydney’s northern beaches. The video panned down the coast line of the popular beach to the sound of a Middle Eastern pop song. Her last video was posted on April 3. In the days after her death, Ms Hazouri’s sister, Manal Raunegger, said the 39-year-old was the sole breadwinner for her family and sick mother in Lebanon, where the ongoing economic crisis has left them struggling to get by. According to her brother-in-law, Mounir Sajad, it was known Ms Hazouri associated with Ms Fadlallah, despite the advice of those close to her. “That’s what I heard, somebody gave her advice not to, but she did,” he told the Sydney Morning Herald. The family is currently raising funds via GoFundMe. The campaign has currently raised more than $9000, and the money will be used for the funeral costs and to transport her body from Sydney to Lebanon“Amy Hazouri was my beautiful sister, who was an innocent party who was murdered,” she wrote on Facebook. “Amy was the sole provider for our family in Lebanon that is currently struggling with the economic crisis in Lebanon.”‘Gangster’s mum speaks out’It’s understood Ms Fadlallah was known to police prior to her death and had previous romantic links to former gangster Shadi Derbas and underworld figure, Helal Safi. Her son – Abraham Derbas – has described her as a “very nice lady” and said her death was a “tragedy”. “Nothing ever happened like this before, nothing,” he told Daily Mail Australia.Speaking to the Sydney Morning Herald, neighbours of the murdered gangster described her as a friendly woman who “came and went at all hours” and threw parties during lockdown. Neighbours also recalled the time Ms Fadlallah installed security cameras after her Range Rover had been damaged in the front and rear. ‘Rule books have been thrown out’Currently investigating the circumstances of the shooting, police have described the attack as “unprecedented”. “It was a planned murder, an assassination really, and it’s happened in a public street in Sydney,” said Homicide Squad Commander Detective Superintendent Danny Doherty, on Monday. “It’s unacceptable by any standards. It’s unprecedented, really. And we are determined to get the answers for the family.”Speaking to media on Monday, Det Sup Doherty said there were unwritten underworld laws that protected women and children from attacks, however the latest assault proved that the “rule books have been thrown out the window”. “I think this just demonstrated how low they‘ve got where any person that may be associated with someone who they want to target … they don’t discriminate, whether you’re male or female,“ he said.No arrests have been made in relation to the shooting.
